I am honored to serve as a governing board member for Hawaiʻi Academy of Arts and Science Public Charter School (HAAS). As a proud alumnus of the HAAS class of 2016, I am deeply committed to giving back to the school that played such a formative role in my life. I have a passion for education and a strong belief in the power of charter schools to transform lives. Over the last four years, I have worked at HAAS as a ParaPro and Teacher Assistant, and starting November 4, 2024, I will be the middle school Social Studies teacher. I use my experience as a faculty member at multiple levels to effectively bring the faculty voice and perspective to the HAAS Governing Board. I work with my fellow directors to ensure that our faculty has a positive environment and that students receive the highest quality education possible.

My family and I have been living on the Big Island for many years and both of my children attend HAAS as well. I believe in HAAS’s mission and what it has to offer not only our families but our community. I have a diverse professional background as an Administrator, Case Manager, and Legal Specialists for 10+ years. My experience also involves fundraising, community outreach here on the Big Island as well as working with families, parents, refugees and vulnerable populations in the community. My undergraduate degree is in Law and my Masters Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy. I look forward to not only serving as a board member but helping continue to grow and develop HAAS for our children, staff and community.
